This is mandatory. It covers the costs of the design (including digital artwork) of your site, together with hosting and support for the first year.

The cost of a splashscreen is included in the Setup cost. A splashscreen is optional, and will normally consist of a single, "clickable" graphic to launch the Homepage of your site. If you do not want a splashscreen, your site will be configured to start on the Our School page instead.
The following are typical of the categories you may consider for your site. If any of these do not fit your requirement, please contact us and let us know what you would like.

This is the page your visitors and guests will see first. It will usually contain the contact details for the school: address, telephone, fax, email, etc. In addition, a local map of the area, or a link to a multimap reference would be useful. This is also the page to let your visitors know of any special schemes, or extra-curricular activities your school might have.

Typically, this page will contain an interactive plan. Rooms will be "clickable" and lead to a more detailed description of the room, together with photographs or perhaps a 360 degree tour. Please note that currently it is not possible for schools to upload their own interactive plan or 360 degree tour. However, once we have set up the plan for you, you may add and update room descriptions and standard photographs.

A page for you to organise your staff. Categorise them by year, by subject, or whatever else comes to mind. A great place for your team to introduce themselves - or for the students to do so!

A place for news items which may not make it to a newsletter. Maybe a page for last minute announcements. Remember, all pages can be updated from anywhere, anytime.

Does your school publish a regular newspaper? This is the place to prominently display the current issue and keep all the back issues.

Somewhere for parents, guardians or carers to get hold of those pesky letters which never quite seem to make it home!

A month-at-a-time and a year-at-a-time view of events. Easy to update and easy to look back or forward in time.

Organise photographs of the school, events, trips, etc. or examples of artwork the students have done.

A page especially targeted at pupils. May contain links to other great websites, learning resources ... or just for fun!
A place for the PTA to promote themselves and fundraising schemes. Our websites are designed to allow administration of specific pages by individuals, so normally the PTA themselves would be responsible for maintaining the content.
A place for the School Governors to present information, reports, minutes, etc. Normally the Governors themselves would be responsible for maintaining the content.
A page to look at your locality. Perhaps you have a famous landmark, you live in an area of historical interest, or you have notable people living nearby. Get the children to help gather and present the information and spark their interest in where they live. May be a good place to showcase the area around your school to encourage prospective residents to move into your school's catchment!

A place for past and present teachers, pupils and visitors to say hello. Guestbooks are frequently abused by visitors who find it amusing to leave obscene messages. For this reason, our guestbook is "moderated", which means you have to approve messages before they will be made visible on the guestbook pages.
