To enable Javascript and safe ActiveX:
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options...
Select the Security tab. Ensure the Internet zone is highlighted, then press the Custom Level... button.
To enable safe ActiveX, scroll down to the ActiveX controls and plug-ins and ensure the buttons are set as here ...
... and a little further down, as here.
To enable Javascript, scroll down a little further to the Scripting section and ensure the buttons are as shown.
Finally, press the OK button to close the Security Setting window, followed by the OK button to close the Internet Options window.
