Inline images are typically used to break up large areas of text and add interest. Once on the page, inline images may be dragged and dropped into their desired locations within the text. Currently, images may be placed left, centre or right of paragraph starts and ends. Text will flow around left and right aligned images, and will "skip over" centred images.
A page showing a single, left aligned image. The "anchor point" for the image is to the left of the start of the first paragraph ("Toon Primary School ..."). Note how the text continues to flow around the image, even for subsequent paragraphs.
A page showing a single, centre aligned image. The anchor point for the image is at the end of the first paragraph. Note how the text jumps over the image (it does not flow around).
A page showing a single, right aligned image. The "anchor point" for the image is to the right of the start of the second paragraph ("The school office ..."). Note how the text continues to flow around the image, even for subsequent paragraphs.
Each inline image has two control buttons embedded in the top, right corner. N.B. These control buttons are only visible when signed in to edit the page. The left hand button may be used to edit the image (change the size, aspect ratio, title - or even the image itself). The right hand button may be used to delete the inline image completely.
To move an inline image to a new position on the page, simply use your mouse to drag and drop it into position. You will notice than when the cursor moves over the image it will change into the move cursor:
N.B. Drag and drop of inline images will only work if your browser has Javascript enabled (and if using IE6, also has safe ActiveX enabled). Please see Empower Your Browser if you need to enable these features.
